Wow what an incredible collection of toys, cars, trucks, engines and planes. What I loved most was the arrangement of the machines. You'll be weaving throughout cars, under airplane wings, through airplane cabins and under truck wheels. It's pretty awesome.nnWe got in a little bit late so had to rush through - DO NOT DO THIS! You'll definitely want to arrive at least 1.5 hours prior to closing time to fully enjoy the many aspects of this museum.nnUpon entry you have an awesome toy and memorabilia shop and greeted by friendly staff. On entry you will be engulfed in all things this place has to offer and it does not disappoint. The eclectic collection of toys must span from the 1800's to 2000's.nnAs a car person I was mightily impressed by the side range of vehicles on display with all cars in the buildings in incredible condition. You will have fun spotting your favourites throughout the 4 sheds.nnDefinitely visit to bring out that kid in yourself and satisfy your motoring fantasies.
One of the highlights of our NZ travel this year. Price is very reasonable and there are so much things to see and do, and of course to buy. If you love toys, cars, planes and old things, this is the place for you.nnMe and my toddler had a very good time playing with model trains and looking at all the displays.
This is an amazing place. So many different buildings, so many different exhibits. Everything pushed together, cars under the wings of planes, toys besides fire trucks. It's an Aladdin's Cave. You need plenty of time to wander round and good shoes, too.
You need at lease 4-5 hours to see everything. collection is huge. worth for money. free parking available. Price is very reasonable.
A truly amazing collection of toys, memorabilia and transport related items cars, trucks, planes etc. We spent 1.5hrs there and I feel like we barely put a dent into seeing everything. My transport obsessed toddler loved wandering around and especially loved some of the interactive items the model trains. Most items can’t be touched understandably so however there are some things that look geared towards kids and it’s unclear whether they can touch it or not as it’s not clearly labelled eg antique kids toys or miniature cars. We erred on the side of caution and didn’t let him but would good for more signage. All in all a fabulous visit that is super reasonably priced $22 per adult. Definitely worth a visit!
