A fabulous new dining and coffee option “The Station” has opened in the historic - National Park Railway Station. They’ve managed to keep many of the original features of the building with the bonus of serving wonderful food, tea and coffee.
Best steak had for years. Wife had venison and was also very impressed. Nice atmosphere and the staff were excellent . I wish they would come to Auckland and teach restaurants how to cook a real meal.
Gone downhill in last couple of years. No cabinet food, food mediocre. Not very cleannDisappointed was always a good spot on our road trips.
Delightfully amazing lamb on a bed of sweet potatoes and carrot mash with vegetables in a blueberry jus. Amazing!nnFor dessert we had the sweet spring rolls. They tasted like warm banana bread!
Awesome people who work at the Lodge's & E1 is friendly as. With lots to do you won't be disappointed & with Kakahi having free glow worms its a must stop to see,with lots of birdlife&fishing.
