My experience was really amazing! Welcoming staff and a nice variety of marine inhabitants. Try to visit it during feeding times to add more experience. Also don't forget to walk around the building to look at graffiti. The only thing is that maybe I would like to see a little bit more of the penguins' area and can't wait till they have sea horses back. But I definitely would like to come back and recommend this place to my friends.
Great experience for the whole family with lots to explore & see. My youngest daughter has been fascinated by the underwater world and so we found ourselves checking out fish, sharks, stingrays, penguins and many other marine creatures in the aquariums. The layout was great, exhibits were all well designed and interactive, and presentation during penguin feeding was educational & fun. Best to arrive around 1pm in time for the little Penguin feeding at 1:30pm and Oceanarium Diver hand feeding at 2pm. Highly recommend a visit if you're in Napier.
This one of the best aquariums ever. There are staffs around who tell you all the amazing facts and stories about the the animals in the place. The place is well sought out in terms of layout and they do give a map upon arrival; so u don't actually miss out on any enclosures.
Loved visiting the aquarium we got there early so managed to see the Penguin feeding so cute.. we then went to see the divers in the tank with the fish and the tunnel with the sharks stingrays and large fish was great. Highly recommended for families or couples
Pretty good for the size of the host city. For admission price, best if you can stay a couple of hours at least. Penguins, turtles, stingray and sharks were the favourite along with the dinosaur
Brought the kids along today and they had a fabulous time! Aquarium itself is not huge, but there are many information panels and exhibits for the kids. They got a real kick out of the shark tank and penguin and experience. Whilst not cheap, our family got a kick out of this one!
Call it the centre of knowledge or information, its perfect. The facility is well constructed and maintained. A very social ambiance with friendly staffs equally suitable for kids, adults and manchilds :D.
A great little aquarium. Good displays, and information throughout. Plenty of fish to see as well as penquins. A good sized tunnel going through, with part of the walk way in which moves. Friendly staff. There is a gift shop too with a wide range of things to buy. Worth while experience and great to bring kids along.
This was my first time here and I had a great time looking around. The staff were amazing and really helpful and friendly and I was able to find some books and a model kit for the family. If I ever come back back to Napier I’ll definitely come back here.
Nice little aquarium. Informative. Wish there were interactive experiences and more stuff to see. I went in with a lot of expectations and it did not quite meet it.
