Local cricket club with adult and junior teams.
1921 saw the formation of the Technical College Old Boys‟ Rugby Football Club. Ex-pupils with cricket at heart were not to be outdone by the “rugger boys” and a meeting was convened by Mr A Hynes, at his home on 9 July 1921 - this for the prime purpose of forming a Cricket Club. From those in attendance, a resolution was passed to proceed forthwith.
The initial A.G.M. was held on 8 October 1921 and presided over by Mr I. E. Newton (Technical College Principal). Election of officers followed the normal pattern with E.H. Williams as Patron and I.E. Newton as President. Secretary-Treasurer and Committee were elected and other personnel in attendance, whose names are familiar, were A.B. Sheehan, Ian Campbell, Sid Northe, Ernie Elliott, Bert Elliott and Doug Pirie. So, in October 1921, N.T.C.O.B.C.C. was born.
