Story

Napier Golf Club “Waiohiki” is the oldest Golf Club in Hawke’s Bay, having celebrated its Centenary in 1996. Over the years it has been the site of many New Zealand and inter-provincial tournaments, in fact hosting the first ever New Zealand Open in 1907.

Centrally located on State Highway 50, the Waiohiki links provides an easy walking 18-hole championship course, which is a challenging test of golf for both the beginner and low handicapper.

We think our course and facilities are among the best in the Bay and hope you get lots of pleasure in using them.

One of those causes that reminds you why you play golf. Friendly people,  well kept course, good greens that read run true and receptive to a good ball, challenges and the beer is cold.

The man before me had the most dirty most disgusting toe nails and he played foot golf. when it was my turn there was a green toenail stuck in one of the balls. 5 stars! the taste of the green toenail was amazing thank you for ur service!!

After 20 years since the last game the course still presents a great challenge. However the course is not in the greatest of condition, it's a shame to see it this. Fairways in average condition, in need of cutting, greens hold ok, but slow and woolly. have not long been cored so some forgiveness there. Hopefully this is just an rare occasion and the course gets back to it brilliant best. The service ws good and very friendly. It did bring back some great memories though and did enjoy seeing some old faces.

The Napier Golf Club is home to a good quality golf course, popular with local golfers. The tree-lined and open parkland layout contains a variety of attractive holes and pleasant features, which should provide an enjoyable test of golf at a generally affordable rate. Worth a visit if you are in the area and have some time to spare.

Supreme 18 Course Well cared for grounds Well loved by those who look after it. The Golf Shop is an ABSOLUTE must. Owned and Operated by The Course's Pro. Andrew Henare. ALL your questions would be answered ALL golf gear and golf necessities are the BEST!! AS A Golf Pro. His Knowledge AND Experience with Golf Is a MUST to connect with Him On the in and outs of Golfing!! Restaurant - food. Wow!!  Tasteful. If your after a Home cooked meal This Restaurant is another "must". Bar service. Bar selection.- Tops!!! On this assessment GO To The Napier Waiohiki Golf Club You'll understand Why I rate it a 10!!!!!

Fantastic golf course.  Tight and challenging which cost my fellow competitors dearly, if you wanna spray it around you will pay the price on this majestic course.  Hospilality at its finest during post match beers, the kitchen ladies gathered round to interview the champion which was rather humbling but at the same time made me realise the enormity of the achievement. Take away meals you'd absolutely ENJOY!!! The Bar selection of fine wines. A wide selection of beers.. To TOP it off... The Service is welcoming. Friendly and homely.. On TOP Of ALL of the above.. The Golf Pro - run by Andrew Henare, his wife & little people is EXCEPTIONAL!!! Andrew IS a Pro. Runs clinics and comps. Teaches..his expertise. Experience and knowledge deserves recognition Napier Golf Club is affordable. Absolutely AMAZING!!! Give it a GO!!! You wont regret what this Golf Club and Course offers.. Kia ora Necia

One of my favourite courses. Beautiful contouring and a layout that tests the brain as much as the swing. Can't wait to get back.
