I had a cooking class with Fabien, which was amazing. I asked him for tips how to elevate dishes and he prepared several pages of recipes and variations for me. We cooked a 3 course French meal which was delicious. During the cooking Fabien gave me tips on how to make vegetable cutting easier and how to use special ingredients Porcini mushroom powder, black garlic. I thoroughly enjoyed my morning of cooking with Fabien and highly recommend him.
Fabien created the most magnificent private dining experience to celebrate my 50th Birthday in Queenstown. From start to finish, it truly was an 5 star experience. Every dish was exceptional, the presentation amazing and absolutely delicious. We had 5 courses, the servings were generous and the prep and detail that went into each dish was a work of art. Fabien was the ultimate professional and he truly made my birthday so memorable. I highly recommend him as a private chef!
I booked Fabien for my Dad’s 70th birthday celebrations in Queenstown, and we were not disappointed! From the initial enquiry, Fabien was helpful, communicative and invested in making this a memorable occasion. He helped navigate the menu choices, including dietary preferences, and also recommended wines for each dish, which proved to be amazing. The food itself was excellent - we’re a big family of foodies and Fabien exceeded our expectations. Fabien and his team were efficient, professional and warm, and the meal for 10 was a real highlight of our trip, and of Dad’s birthday celebrations. Highly recommend!
I can’t recommend Fabien and the My Private Chef team highly enough! Right from the very start of planning for our evening, communication with Fabien was great. Fabien was very accomodating when we had to change dates due to covid lockdowns. We booked Fabien and team to prepare a 4 course meal 2 entrees, 1 main, 1 dessert for our mums 60th and it was truely a perfect way to celebrate. The experience from start to finish was outstanding. Fabien arrived with all of the equipment required for the whole meal, including plates/cutlery - we didn’t need to do a thing. Each course was presented beautifully, and included a summary from Fabien about what was in the dish, how it was prepared - it was such a lovely touch. We couldn’t believe how delicious the food was, it was seriously the best meal we’ve all had!! Thank you so much Fabien & team for an unforgettable experience!
Highly recommend booking with Fabien ! It was a great experience and exceptional service. He prepared a 5 course meal for me and my friends upon our arrival to Queenstown for my 25th birthday. Every dish tasted amazing and the presentation was beautiful ! Everything was so well organised , our table was set up nicely, cutlery and plates were provided - there was also a waiter who came around to serve us our food and drinks. Fabien explained each meal to us and really engaged in great conversation with us throughout the night & also cleaned everything up at the end of the night ! Thank you so much Fabien
Fabien cooked an amazing three course meal for my family and I when we were in Queenstown celebrating my Dad’s 70th birthday. It was extremely special and my dad loved every moment! The combination of flavours was exquisite and we all loved learning about how Fabien put the dishes together. My favourite was the dessert which cannot even be described - it was that good. Fabien arrived and quietly prepared away the meals in the kitchen, brought all the set up and made the table look beautiful with candles. He also was very accommodating to different dietary requirements. A true professional. Seriously recommended for a special occasion or just for the joy of it!. Thank you Fabien for making my Dad’s birthday such a success.
Outstanding food and quite creative cooking to accomodate for various dietary requirements in our group some gluten free, some vegan, and some meat eaters. I thoroughly enjoyed the service and explanation of each menu item from our dinner, which gave insight into Fabien's careful choices in creating such a lovely evening. Our family had the best time using Fabien as a private chef for a special evening in Queenstown, and I would love to enjoy his cooking again.
We hired My Private Chef for an intimate dinner following our wedding ceremony. Fabien and his team were fantastic! Communication with Fabien in advance of the event was really clear. We are vegetarian and we worked with Fabien on some custom options. On the day, the team arrived on time, brought all their own equipment and cleaned up after themselves. That's before even talking about the food ... wow! We had 2 entrees, a main and a dessert. The quality was very high with dishes having multiple elements. We were most impressed by the depth of flavours. Everyone was really impressed, with most calling it the "best meal they had ever had". Fabien explained each dish as it was served and was openly sharing knowledge in response to questions from our guests. Having Fabien and his team really topped off the perfect wedding day! We would highly recommend.
Fabian and his team prepared and served a delicious walk & fork dinner for 18 guests in our home for my husband’s 85th birthday. Working with Fabian is an absolute pleasure and the preparation, serving and clearing up was done seamlessly. Our guests were all appreciative of this lovely meal of canapés, salmon and beef dishes. The Paris Brest dessert was outstanding.
I highly recommend Fabien for the best dinner party ever. 5 stars just isn't enough for the experience he created for our family. The food was delicious, inventive and amazingly presented. Fabien is a delight, and he made the evening stress free, memorable and fun. Thank you Fabien and Alice, look forward to using you again.
