I can’t recommend Fabien and the My Private Chef team highly enough! Right from the very start of planning for our evening, communication with Fabien was great. Fabien was very accomodating when we had to change dates due to covid lockdowns. We booked Fabien and team to prepare a 4 course meal 2 entrees, 1 main, 1 dessert for our mums 60th and it was truely a perfect way to celebrate. The experience from start to finish was outstanding. Fabien arrived with all of the equipment required for the whole meal, including plates/cutlery - we didn’t need to do a thing. Each course was presented beautifully, and included a summary from Fabien about what was in the dish, how it was prepared - it was such a lovely touch. We couldn’t believe how delicious the food was, it was seriously the best meal we’ve all had!! Thank you so much Fabien & team for an unforgettable experience!
Highly recommend booking with Fabien ! It was a great experience and exceptional service. He prepared a 5 course meal for me and my friends upon our arrival to Queenstown for my 25th birthday. Every dish tasted amazing and the presentation was beautiful ! Everything was so well organised , our table was set up nicely, cutlery and plates were provided - there was also a waiter who came around to serve us our food and drinks. Fabien explained each meal to us and really engaged in great conversation with us throughout the night & also cleaned everything up at the end of the night ! Thank you so much Fabien
We hired My Private Chef for an intimate dinner following our wedding ceremony. Fabien and his team were fantastic! Communication with Fabien in advance of the event was really clear. We are vegetarian and we worked with Fabien on some custom options. On the day, the team arrived on time, brought all their own equipment and cleaned up after themselves. That's before even talking about the food ... wow! We had 2 entrees, a main and a dessert. The quality was very high with dishes having multiple elements. We were most impressed by the depth of flavours. Everyone was really impressed, with most calling it the "best meal they had ever had". Fabien explained each dish as it was served and was openly sharing knowledge in response to questions from our guests. Having Fabien and his team really topped off the perfect wedding day! We would highly recommend.
Fabien and his team delivered us an awesome 3 course menu for my wife's belated birthday celebration while we were in Queenstown. The food was superb, the knowledge sharing on how he prepared and cooked the dinner was excellent and the style of service was friendly but professional. Thanks for a great night Fabien we all loved it.
Absolutely amazing. Fabien Simon is an amazing chef and was the highlight of our family trip to Queenstown. Food was phenomenal and the banter just as good.
Fabien and his team put together the most perfect in-house evening to celebrate a special birthday. It was so hard to choose from the vast menu and we were blown away by the delicious feast he prepared for us. A fantastic experience, would highly recommend Fabien for any occasion!
Fabien was fantastic. The food was spectacular, I don’t think I have a good enough grasp of the English language to fully describe how delicious it was. Fabian was very organised, timely, explained the dishes and helped us to celebrate Michael’s 30th birthday with gusto.
Fabien and his team were fabulous — we were a family group of 12 celebrating our dad’s 60th. From start to finish, the whole experience was seamless and the food absolutely delicious. Fabien accommodated all of our dietary needs and pointed us in the right direction when choosing our menu. We highly recommend Fabien and hope to eat his delicious food again soon. Thanks Fabien!
Fabien hosted a small dinner party that my husband Mike McClelland and I hosted while visiting Queenstown. We selected a four course dinner; each dish was beautifully plated and delicious. Empty plates all around. As impressive as his cooking is his organization. He arrived early to organize and prepare the meal; he brought everything from candles to menu cards to napkins and placemats - - his service did not depend on what was available in our rented apartment. Although the open kitchen was near our dining table, Fabien and the waiter, Matthew, prepared and served the four courses efficiently, quietly, and with a bare minimum of kitchen sounds and smells. The kitchen was spotless when Fabien left, he even took his garbage with him! We highly recommend Fabien.
