Went to Murray’s Irish Bar in Feilding with my family and was glad to see they had a vegan option on the menu. I got the salad, which was actually quite tasty for a pub salad, it came with falafel and was a generous size. The only letdown was that it felt a bit dry at first, but later I realised there was a dollop of hummus hidden under the lettuce.nThe service was pleasant, the vibe inside is welcoming, and a bonus point that the toilets are always clean. A nice spot overall. :
Great staff, good food, many beer choices! Enjoyed the hawker roll pictured and bbq burger were both great! Portion sizes are perfect.
I have been here a few times for lunch and have always been happy with my experience. But I was really disappointed with the recent meal I had here for dinner. I ordered a $42 steak — which is definitely at the top end — so I expected something tender, flavourful and delicious. Instead, the steak was tough as old boots, grisly, and honestly just disgusting.nnWhat made it worse is that it wasn’t just mine — every single person in our group had the same experience with their steaks. We let the waitress know, and although she apologised, all we were told was that she’d “pass it on to the chef.” No follow-up, no offer to fix it, nothing.nIs this place under new ownership, or has the chef changed as I’ve heard from a few people their experience has been similar recently.nnWhen times are tough, spending money on dining out is a treat. And to be served something so disappointing is really gutting. Definitely not worth the price, and I won’t be returning.
Great Irish bar hidden in friendly fielding. Great pub, good food, awesome atmosphere. Stopped here for a beer and meal to catch up with a mate. Would most definitely come back here...top stuff
Murray’s Irish Bar has the feel of a relaxed, character eat-in bar. I was super impressed with the food - stand out for flavours and freshness! The service was friendly and professional. The dress code of waiting staff could be improved to meet the standards of the food but o improvements needed on quality of service, thanks!
