What a lovely place for a picnic and a break from driving, kick a ball around or just walk and sit on a bench. Could have done with public toilets.
Always a good place in riverhead to visit, walkway built in the tide line so can be impassable, which means you have to cross the road
Great little spot just off Riverhead / Coatsville highway at Riverhead. Old Mill and sugar works ruin nearby and worth a walk. Nice little reserve for lunch before carrying on on your journey.
Amazing. The water is warm. Very salty. People come there to kayak and you can hire them from a phone number on a tree. Lots of dogs went for a swim and so did I. Its tidal so check the times. Take refreshments and there is no toilet there but one a few k up the road. Locals can tell you how to jump off the bridge but unless you know I wouldn't do it because its on a road and there are many rocks under the water. If you have aqua boots wear them because its salt there are mussel shells under and I did cut my foot at one stage.
Lovely place to visit, especially when it's a sunny day and the tide is in. Only issue is that it can be very popular .nIt's good for canoeing.
