Murchison Museum

"A family-friendly, fascinating look into Murchison’s interesting past. Photos and written accounts of the devastation throughout the district from the 1929 Murchison Earthquake plus personal stories about this significant shake.The vintage machinery building alongside is a modern building styled as a yesteryear barn. Goldmining, sawmilling and agriculture are also themes at the museum. There is a static display of early agricultural machinery.Family and historical research provided.The Museum also offers an 'Information Service' highlighting the local tourist activities, attractions and places of interest.We’re open all year including many weekends, with loads of local knowledge to share.
