The new outdoor area is an amazing place to spend your summer arvo.. great selection of whiskeys and other top shelf drinks, has pool tables out back and live music alot. Definitely a place to check out.Food: 4/5
Awesome friendly place, if you need to relax come here
Spent $502 on our first tab of the night, asked nicely for a $2 discount to keep it under $500, but they won't do it. We ended spending even more money but just disappointed that the slightest bit of flexibility was not an option.
Very loud music which wasnt great. But the food and service was very good.Food: 4/5
Just went into get a beer, but the guy behind the bar quite happily served a local then walked off without serving us, only asked if he could help as we were half way out the door. Customer service skills need an overhaul.
This was fantastic. Myself, Wife and daughter had a lovely meal. Great pints of Guinness. And believe me I have drank a fair amount of Guinness in my time. Only downside was I mistakenly thought the guy running the place was Mexican. Yeah. He's Indian. Nice guy too.
Love this place! If you are looking for a cool place that doesn't have the tourist trap feel, and you are looking for excellent food, this is the place. It's got the perfect "dive bar" appeal with great food...the fish and chips are the best I've had in a long time and we're from Wisconsin, fish dinners are a big deal there. For the younger crowd, there is often live music after 8:30 or 9 and the prices are affordable. The locals hang out here, and they are friendly, that's always a good sign.

Quick stop after a long drive. Found this pub by accident. Best pint of Guinness I've had in a long time. Nice wee pub. Even let us try the wine before we bought. Be heading back down this way next week. Might even stop in for another pint or three
Great as usual. New owners since we last visited Taupo. Maybe add more old and known music too but still friendly and beers are cheap. Oh and my partner and I win a little bit at the pokies too
