Lovely welcoming service, great food and perfect views. We stopped in for a late lunch after visiting Lake Coleridge. Our hosts sat us down by the fire whilst they got our table ready with the best view of Mount Hutt. We chose the Salmon fillet and the Coconut curry seafood entree. The salmon and the scallops were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend for this visiting Mount Hutt or surrounding areas.
Lovely clean motel room. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. The hosts were so helpful and accommodating. I had a health problem and Jo was so kind and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay in such beautiful surroundings.Rooms: 5/5
Very quiet and relaxing with lovely views over Rakaia Gorge and the mountains. Hosts Jo and Butch were very friendly and welcoming and we had an excellent meal in restaurant. welcoming
I have visited a few times over the last 10 years. It has good views over Rakia Gorge. The place has potential when the 70's design is updated. Sadly, on a recent visit I found the host rude and unaccomodating. I will not return until new hosts are found.Service: 1/5
If you need serenity, peace and quiet, lodge style amongst beautiful gardens and right at the gorge than look no further. Jo and Butch are absolutely fantastic hosts, very friendly as family, great food, clean rooms, great heating, great advice on local places, best advice on skiing. Couldn't find one fault even if I looked through microscope.
We had a wonderful lunch here after a weeks skiing and really enjoyed meeting Jo and Butch who were so hospitable and entertaining. Highly recommended.Service: 5/5
Stunning location, super friendly staff and very comfy room. Restaurant and bar in site means not having to go anywhere and the fire makes for a cosy setting.Rooms: 5/5

We found the managers to be rude arrogant and totally uninterested in the accommodation part of the place. We were snapped at all weekend. At 10.30am the lady yelled at us for bothering them when we were asking for more tea bags.The unit was an eclectic mix of miss matched junk from the 80s. The unit was so dated and run down alot of things were broken or dirty.The shower stunk of rotten fish so badly my daughter couldn't shower. We couldn't flush the toilet at night as it was so loud and took 20mins to fill. There's no wifi and only Freeview TV.
