We are only a few minutes walk from art galleries and the Opihi River. The Kimbell Garage Gallery has friendly farm animals which are enjoyed by people of all ages. Many outdoor activities are at our doorstep - skiing/snowboarding, ice skating, boating, fishing, water skiing, swimming, hiking and mountain climbing.

We are the closest motel to the Mt Dobson skifield. A daily skifield shuttle, which stops right outside our door, is available at $15 per person (return) but must be pre-booked.
Next door to our motel is the historic Silverstream Hotel which has excellent pub meals, takeaways, a pool table and gorgeous garden bar as well as Sky TV for all the big sports events. They get busy on weekends so booking for dinner is recommended.
