Beautiful but only during sunsets. I came there at 3pm and then came back to the place when it was at sunset. It was different with the colors. I mean during the day the view cool but that is it. I have got massive views from NZ so it started to feel normal. Nevertheless it is a great look from the top to the view of the city, even to all sides, I do find the back views with he seas are more impressive.
I drove to the top, but you can try the track too. I went straight to a gazebo at the end of the road. I liked the vibe while I was there. It was pretty chill. I think it is a good place to read a book, listening to the music or just contemplate.
Reason why I love Wellington, the view is great at night, something about city lights is so nostalgic. The place to go if your in the area, cant visit wellys without popping into Mt Vic lookout!
Good area to experience a panoramic view of the city
Beautiful view over Wellington. You can walk or drive up to the lookout point. Highly recommend visiting!
