I found this place from Google. It proved to be the right choice. The owner is the type of person who follows carefully and his work is meticulous and neat. And is willing to share some experience with newcomers, rather than just saying, "Wait there, OK, bye." It was a very pleasant experience. I would choose this place again.
There are more helpful outfits available. Check them out first as John probably doesn’t have the time to speak to you about your bike, and I suspect couldn’t care less. He’s” $120-per-hour don’t you know” and you’d be “wasting his time” if you ask questions. Thanks John, I’m glad we cleared that up before wasting anybody’s money or time. Maybe this review will help in your endeavour to keep customers from wasting your time again. I don’t think asking a few questions on what your $120 pre-purchase inspection service covers is too much to expect.
Very happy with the service John did on my 2019 650 vstrom, he provided lots of helpful tips and also installed new Metzeler Roadtec 01 tyres.

Awesome service. Took my bike in the next day. Did a whole bunch of extras at no cost and really good advice. Treated my bike as his own.
John is known across Auckland as a bit of a guru, each time I have met him I have been impressed by his vast skill set, knowledge, extensive network base, great pricing and superb turn around times. Worth a call and a chat for all projects as he can do just about anything in-house keeping costs down and time to completion to a minimal.
Beginning of 2021 I called John as my CBR400RR was blowing smoke. John immediately knew what was the probable cause and told me how to rectify over the telephone. He is knowledgeable and very thorough. I had an electrical issue middle of this year with the same bike and John told me to bring it to him to have a look. Turned out to be a lose battery connection, however John spent time giving me useful tips on the CBR400RR and didn't charge me for his time even though he checked the alternator and battery charge. I'm very grateful for his help and will soon bring my Vespa and CBR400RR to John for a service.
