Morrison Street Cafe

Amazing food in huge portions with great ambiance and I love the morning music. Customer service is to the top of the mountains. The veggie dish is super tasty especially the potato cake combination with green spinach and mushrooms. Pancake is lovely. Coffee is good and my green smoothie is healthy So glad to be here and enjoying this beautiful moment!

Initial impressions great as we were greeted in a friendly, welcoming manner. Seated and allowed to order food even though the kitchen was about to close. Good looking, modern interior, clean and tidy. We just wanted a snack and coffee so ordered fries. There is a choice of sauces. The chips were delicious, shinny with skins on and a morish spicy seasoning. Unfortunately the coffee was horrendous. Possibly the worst I've ever had. Worth trying some other food off the menu probably. But will never return for coffee.

Amazing food and great coffee. Portion sizes are very good for the price. You won't be disappointed. Full flavour and great options on the menu. We will be back. Pictured is the chicken and bacon waffle. Thanks!

Seems a constant issue with NZ food place, staff wonderful but let down by the kitchen, buttermilk pancakes a little doughy and my eggs Benedict a fail with hard boiled eggs, coffee was lovely though and one of those rare places that don’t charge you extra for iced latte

From interior design prospective, The funky painting makes the space very cheerful, the dividing wall with a window helps build the connection with the kitchen stuff nicely. Impressive to see the school kids’ art work here around “ lockdown family bubble topic”. Great way to support the local kids’ creativity. Recommended : has been used well

Super busy on Saturdays. The staff are nice and helpful. Love their new bubble waffle which is my fav Asian street food. It did bring back lots of good memories.

Hot chicken!!! Nuf said! This has to be the best cafe in Nelson right now. The service is out-of-the-park. We loved the presentation of the food, the cafe was warm and cosy on a wet day and the food was plentiful and delicious. I ended up having a Bloody Mary with my lunch which why the best ever! We loved it so much we went back the next day for coffee and almond croissants. I can't recommend this cafe enough! I'm looking forward to going back and trying the bubble waffles next time even if I am trying to avoid eating wheat.

Very busy place. Need to wait a while for the table. Good to see the staff asking us for vaccine passes.
