We stopped off in Morrinsville because we saw the big cow and the cow trail on Google. The painted cows around the town were brilliant, mostly all within walking distance of each other so easy to see lots of them. Would definitely recommend a stop off to see some cows if you’re nearby.
We were surprised at how big town centre was! It's only 20mins from Te Aroha and maybe 30mins from Hamton. Awesome town filled with surprises, plenty of cafes, bakeries and pub/steak at the historical hotel/restaurant going back 1941. Very friendly locals who didn't mind a chat with us.
Sightings on our ride outnThis cute town ~ Morrinsville reminds me of a countryside town in ~ the cute statues with eye catching colours and even in a Rasta coloured, standing by the pavements are just beautiful.
Lovely town with some great bakeries and cafe's.nGreat place too play spot the cow with young children.
Home to the very last Video Store! Found the Popcorn man! Love the buildings especially The Nott and all the cow statues thru town. The River walk. Some great second hand shops to rummage thru here. Great eateries - we discovered Over the Teacups for a lovely surprise of goodies and great tea service and fabulous coffees.
