Wow what a lovely place to dine at. Beautiful decor, tables well spaced. Super helpful and friendly staff And most importantly, the food is delicious and looks devine. Great prices, we just wish there was a bigger dessert portion!
Had the blue cod and chips , not the best as more batter than fish which was deep fried, the chips were dry as for the other meals they were great , still very noisy hard to hear everyone at table .
First timers , we popped in with no booking and a toddler and were pleasantly surprised we could be seated right away. The meals were huge. My wee one was given some coloring pages and pens. My mimosa drink was gigantic ans delicious. The staff were lovely. Think Ill be back for my birthday with the girls.Food: 5/5
Our family group we children enjoyed having dinner here. If you like the cuisine I'm sure you'll enjoy the generous portions of well presented food. Tender ribs fresh fish and well cooked/sauced snitzel if really nice. Everyone in our group enjoyed their chosen meal.
Went for an extended family dinner, and very happy with everything from meals to service. We had elderly and gluten-free coeliacs members in our group, which the taphouse looked after very well. For the kids there are good options, and the traffic light drinks were raved about! Also we booked via google, which was super easy.
booked on Thursday for Saturday got there no booking then given table but had to be clear in 1 hour but meals arrive with 15 minutes to go before had to clear table then worse steak I have ever seen cooked even taking in home cooked ones

Awesome place. Meals were tasty as. Beer was cold, staff friendly, and even donated $10 in the pokies. Definitely going back
Had lunch with family visiting from out of town. Opened with liquid breakfast at 11am and a chat while catching up. Murdoch licensee visited our table and gave us a whole range of bottle openers, sun glasses and caps as a welcome gift. Great humor, plenty general knowledge about the area and warm appreciation for our patronage. I had a chicken burger with crispy fries for lunch and they didn't disappoint with amazing views alfresco. Sapphire is the lovely chef behind the counter. Will make this my local while in Dunedin for 6 months. You wont be disappointed.
Went here for a birthday dinner. It was a busy Saturday evening. Got seated quite quickly. Interior looks great, however the table of cackling hens beside us made conversation challenging. Took a while to be able to order, but the staff generally had a good idea of the menu. Unfortunately the food was only okay. Half the food items were great, the others were so - so. The low point of the meal was one of my guests finding a long white hair in her burger patty along with the steak and the blue cod meals being overcooked. Also the wait staff never checked how we were going during the meal. If I go back will just try the cabinet food. I hope others have a better time there.
