Story

For over 25 years Moon Engines has been providing the New Zealand Boating world with specialist service in second hand and re-conditioned marine engines, transmissions, gear boxes, engine mounts and driveline components.

Moon Engines is now the New Zealand distributor for PRM marine gearboxes and transmission. Moon Engines has a large range of PRM Marine stock, inc: New PRM 80D2, 120D2, as well as the larger 750 and 1000 range

A huge thanks to James and the Team at moon engines, Long story but the boat I had had the wrong gearbox ratio, resulting in the prop only spinning at about ½ the speed it should have been, James sorted me out a deal on a new gearbox and installed for me all within discussed and agreed budget. This was an older boat and must say was impressed with their attitude compared to some other places I would highly recommend moon engines for any engine or transmission work, they know their stuff and are super helpful
I am very hands on with my maintenance but consider James a go to person who I call on regularly, he gives genuine pragmatic advice rather than a sales pitch which is very helpful, highly recommended!
I highly recommend Moon engines for new and secondhand marine engines. James is honest as the day is long and will ensure you get the best deal if you're repowering, building a new boat or need servicing. They also specialise in marine gearboxes particularly PRM marine gearboxes. They also did a great job on the injectors of my Nissan diesel! Warwick Beauchamp ActionCOACH
