This is one of the worst place to go for Indian food. It may be good for kiwi style flavours but not at all for Indian.nQuantity of mains is below average.nnWe would rather buy something to eat from New World which is just across the road.
We went here with no expectations and left extremely impressed. We started with the 4 popadoms with various chutney. I had an old favourite for my main work a garlic naan. I loved the malai kofta. Mr had the lamb bhuna and for the first time in a long time, he ordered hot and it was! We eat a lot of Indian food and would go back here if up that way again, do it!
I had visited here awhile back and will soon be stopping by, they have lovely food and service but if you aren’t looking you don’t even notice it’s a restaurant, it’s a bit bare and feels a little bit like a conference room, I think they’d probably see more visitors if they added some colour and decoration because you almost miss it
I’m from Auckland and whenever I drive to Wellington I take a longer route just to be able to have dinner here. The food is 10/10 and the staff are super friendly. We even told the owner that they should open a restaurant in Auckland! Also the cheese naan is out of this world. 100% would recommend.
Very delicious food and pleasant ambience. Highly recommend to try out kadai paneer and chicken biryani here. Also the mango mania for desert. Yummilicious.
