Stopped in at 131 Eatery for breakfast and left very happy and very full.nI had the Big English Breakfast — even added two extra eggs because why not — and it came out exactly as requested. My partner went for the scrambled eggs on toast and loved it. Food was spot on, and the coffee was just as good.nThe staff were awesome — super friendly, knew most of the locals, and still took the time to stop for a wee chat with us. Always a good sign when a place is busy but still makes you feel welcome.nCool vintage décor, mellow tunes, and somehow it felt open and relaxed even though it was packed.nGreat food, great coffee, great vibe. We’ll be back next time we're in Methven!
Very disappointed with our experience. I ordered the full English breakfast and everything arrived cold, with the overall quality of the food being quite poor. It was definitely not worth the $27 price tag.nnOne member of our group ordered the breakfast burrito, which was very small and seemed to be mostly baked beans see photo. Another person in our group also ordered the full English, but while everyone else had nearly finished eating, their meal still had not arrived.nnWe asked staff where it was and were told they would let us know. Five minutes later there was still no update, and as we had to leave, we ended up asking for a refund for that meal. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.nnUnfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be returning.
Really awesome place. Great food, lovely staff and atmosphere, just a chilled vibe all around. Staff went over and above service wise.
On a chilly Sunday Morning this was the local hangout for brunch.nnWe were driving through town and stopped for a cuppa and the last gluten free friand which was delicious.nnIt had a lovely vibe. Highly recommend!
Best hand cut fries I have ever eaten!!! Good coffee can’t fault it.
