Very interesting history stored here, very easy access and lovely staff. Free entry but I recommend you give them a donation as it is worth it!

A very interesting museum. Excellent displays. Tidy and well run. An enjoyable way to spend a few hrs to appreciate what our early settler families did to develop the country we now have.

This place is small in size , but has an awesome amount of displays and the staff are super knowagble.
A gem! Very well presented covering a range of interesting material including local fossils and Maori artifacts. Check out the old local newspapers. Was it really like that in the 60's- things have certainly changed. Worth stopping for.
Blast of Mokau's history...interesting wander, checked out the old jail.
Interesting place to stop. Full of historic treasures. Very tolerant of small children too.
