Not owned by the local Council so is a very well maintained camp. Everything clean and tidy. Right on the beach with powered sites on one side of the road and non-power on the other. Poor or no mobile phone signal. Good wifi at $3 per GB. Well worth the visit.
Just returned home from a 7 night stay and already feel like returning. Camp quite full at this time of year but all under control with relaxed atmosphere. The camp owner doing a great job as facilities were kept to a high standard. Dog friendly also and close to many activities.
Nice enough location, though powered sites are very close together like a car park and the non powered sites are in a field across the road with no facilities at all - you have to cross the road in the night to use the bathrooms. The real issue for us was the unfriendly owner. We asked him on the day of checkout if we should move our car off the literally completely empty non powered field, when we were waking down to the boulders before heading off, and he said no please take your time. Given what he had just said, we arrived back from our walk at midday and just before leaving we thought we would make a very quick lunch at the kitchen. The owner came running in and telling us to leave because the check out was at 11… he was so rude! I was so shocked - the park was very quiet and we weren’t getting in anyone’s way. I would never stay here again - incredibly poorly managed. Also wouldn’t recommend the laundry - very expensive and our clothes came out dirtier than they went in covered in paper.
Beautiful campground and a little oasis especially for families with young kids. Lots of toys and a nice lawn to play on. Very friendly host with local tips. Very clean and fair price.
Fantastic camp ground with really nice hosts and great facilities, great proximity to beach and awesome fish n chip shop a short walk from camp, the only small negative for us was the unpowered side had very uneven ground and finding a flat site for the tent was difficult, that aside I would definitely visit again
Great camp kept in an immaculate condition. Clean tidy facilities. Really appreciated being able to take our 4 legged family member on holiday with us. Highly recommend
Such a relaxing place to stay, with a beach right on the back doorstep.
We were really happy with this place, we arrived a little early and they had everything ready for us so we could get set up, it was super easy. The place was really nice, clean and tidy, close to a wee supermarket with yummy icecreams. We would definitely stay again. Thanks so much
Minimum stay is 3 nights. We booked in on New Year’s Eve thinking we only wanted to stay 2 nights. We could pick our spot unpowered. Had a nice view of the ocean. Stayed 3 nights and wished we could stay longer. Loved it
Nice people and nice place near the sea. Bit loud from time to time during the night by crossing trains on track rather nearby. Very clean, free showers and kitchen including BBQ grills.
