Don’t make the same mistake I did and give this place your business. Very blatant racial profiling going on. I tried to fill up at two different pumps with no luck, so I went inside to inquire about it. I was rudely told by the woman working there that they’d had a lot of drive-offs recently and that she didn’t open the pumps for me because she’d “never seen me before.” I would maybe buy this in a small town but seeing as Whitianga is the second largest town on the peninsula, I find it hard to believe that they can operate on such a policy, especially with all the tourists passing through. My beliefs were confirmed when several other people who happened to be white came into the store after me to pay for their fuel as usual, without having to ask to have the pump turned on for them first. Totally unacceptable and disappointing behavior by the staff here.

Well set up, easy access, well lit for late night fill ups, staff are great. Nice to have 98 available in Whitianga.
Apparently they had some kind of big mishap and the store had to be closed and temporarily move the cashier and a few selected stock into a portable office. Wonder what happened here.
