A big shout out to the staff at the pool. We visited twice in one week while visiting Dunedin recently. The lifeguards we came across were very helpful and accommodating. They were especially encouraging to the two young girls in our group. And, most helpful when one of our group lost their googles exiting the water slide. Excellent service. Thank you.
Friendly, helpful staff, especially at kids swimming lessons. However once years ago now, I had a relief teacher who kept on pushing my head down and forceably making me do things. We reported it but they said that it seemed appropriate. I have since forgotten her name, but I don't see her teaching classes very often. She is ginger or brunette with shoulder length hair.nnPools are clean and very nice to swim in, but the family changing rooms are just disgusting. They're slimy and they smell. I wouldn't be paid a hundred bucks to use them. Otherwise, the regular changing rooms are nice.
I love this pool as does my whole family. Sometimes the leisure pool can be a bit crowded, but still plenty of room to swim and play. The slides are very fun, but they cost extra. I think it's worth the price if you do them at least 3 times. Even if you don't pay for the slides, it is still a fun place to go and exercise or play.
Almost always too cold, and if not, staff usually do their utmost to change this by opening doors to get that cold air blasting though the pool. Very frustrating, especially when bringing small children with.nPool's looking generally speaking quite tired and is in need of major work. I am findign the locker sitauton a bit quirky and not having a Sauna is also not adequate for the main pool of a City with a population of over 100.000 people.nThe saving grace is the relatively low price.
Love this pool! The lifeguards were so lovely! Especially this younger girl named Riley Matthew’s! She was an absolute joy, from her friendly attitude to her dedication to making sure ALL swimmers felt safe. I personally, am not a strong swimmer and I will admit I was a little nervous swimming around that raging whirl pool, but once I saw that lovely girl’s smiling, yet professional face, I knew I was in safe hands. Ka pai, Rile! Kua oti anō i a koe!
