Awesome Owner Danny. He's got a heart of gold and pretty much a down to earth man. His brother Marcel is awesome too. This place is a full 5 Stars.
I used to work here so maybe I‘m biased but this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in my one year New Zealand trip. The sunsets are incredibly beautiful, the beach is right in front of the Hostel. Danny the owner is super nice and kind, the rooms and bathrooms are clean. Love it!
Very nice place,people there are pleasant, manager is really friendly and his brother is very polite, definitely recommended stay
Bad management...too much favouritism...and continuing to treat the lodge as a mental drug rehabilitation.
Definitely one of the best backpackers in New Zealand. Clean, nice lounge, great view of sea and mana island. Do Not miss the beautiful sunset on a fine day
Amazing value, we had a double room for 2 nights and cost us £25. Great place to shelter from the cyclone.
I stayed for a length of time as I and my son felt so welcome here the environment is warm and friendly and family friendly. The place was always very clean and tidy. The staff and owners are welcoming and friendly as well as very helpful. I will be back again and again I absolutely loved this place and fully recommend it
