We came here on our way to Hamilton. What a great spot just off the highway! Amazing selection of cabinet food. You would have to come here every day for a year to sample it all. Plus there is a menu as well.nnI settled on a kiwi classic of a sausage roll. It came out with a tasty relish. Hubby got a bran muffin and peppermint slice.nnI tried the slice which in the morning isn’t normally my thing. But it was delicious, with a soft cake base.nnThe coffee was hot and strong loads of seating options including a great outside fenced area if you have wee ones.nnWe will be back
Love this place! The menu food is delicious and the cabinet food the largest and best selection I’ve seen looked devine! Lots of gluten free treats and even spotted keto options. The almond hot chocolate was one of the best I’ve had extra points for marshmallow AND a chocolate fish!nVisited for the first time to celebrate a friend’s birthday, so had a sizeable group. I didn’t notice the service to be extra slow as some reviewers have suggested. We sat outside and the heaters kept us toasty warm. Just a bit of a shame you can’t book for large groups.nOverall I am very impressed and highly recommend.
A delightful find on Tamahere Drive, located at the front of the stylish Tamahere Country Club. A family friendly cafe with an amazing, tasty selection of cabinet food one of the best I have seen and menu. Highly recommend brunch and the coffee. Nice playground for the kids and a couple of EV Chargers in the carpark a bonus.
Their new chef has turned things around, best Eggs Benedict with a really delicious hash brown I have had in a while. My friend had the fish cake from the cabinet which was also delicious. Areas for improvement : The service was slow and we had to chase for our complete order to be delivered. Would also suggest you put cushions on your exterior chairs, they are a bit too low to the table and its not pleasant to sit on the cold metal. Will definitely return if the food remains this good.
Fantastic food & coffee. All dishes were delicious & the venue is beautiful. Service was great despite being a busy Saturday morning. I had eggs Benedict with mushrooms & loved it! I only wish I lived closer.
