The bathroom department and timber yard really need to up their game. Especially with Bunnings coming into the area.nSome departments give great, friendly, helpful service whilst others are behind the 8 ball. There's just no consistency. If they are to survive the competition of Bunnings coming in, then they really do need to up their game.
Physical shop is superb with stock range, layout, cafe etc. However if you are non- Caucasian, then you may not feel welcomed there as 95% of front line staff are Caucasian. If you are a novice or learner in DIY and is needing assistance, be prepared to be judged and belittled if you are from a diverse background- subtle and lowkey racism at display here.
Breakfast at Columbus Cafe followed by a roam through the Garden Centre. The food and service was excellent. Thanks to the awesome Jocelyn in the Garden Centre, lots of great advice and great deals. New plants to add some lush colour to his already vibrant gardens. . The team in garden sprays were so helpful, diagnosed the problem with the Daphne bush, medicine to make it better located and we were on our way. We'll be back!!
I stopped going to Mitre 10 Mega due to poor customer service but lately my daughter has been shopping there and I've witnessed a complete change. Staff were completely attentive and knowledgeable and if it isn't their area of expertise they found someone who was. I didn't have to go search the entire complex to find someone willing to help. So proud to go back to Mitre 10 Mega, such awesome service.
Wonderful help from Grant in the paint department, very helpful and knowledgeable and just an all round nice guy
