Mitre 10 MEGA Rangiora

The customer service desk is terrible here, I had a product I was wanting price matched. It was in stock in store on the competitor website shown from my phone but no I had the fun experience of being told ‘Well it’s not in stock on my computer’. It took 10 minutes of her going back and forth to the product to recheck it and then eventually she realised her mistake, she had selected the wrong store. She was pretty rude, no apology and it’s almost like they want to argue with you on price matching. You’re better off taking the 20 minute drive to Papanui who have superb customer service, who had done the price match for me last week on the same product within a minute. I don’t recommend Rangiora at all.

Unhelpful and rude staff when you can find someone who's actually working! Don't even deserve the one star! This morning I went to get some lightbulbs, not sure which one to get, I looked for a staff member but no-one there, found two staff in the paint dept who were initially helpful and said "there should be someone there" and they would find someone. Waited around some more and no-one came so went off to find someone, found someone in plumbing who took me back to the paint department now I'm understandably grumpy and explained to the plumbing staff that the paint staff were going to find someone to which the paint lady said "oh I couldn't find anyone so didn't bother" REALLY! Then the young boy in the paint dept tried to help but admitted he didn't know anything about the electrical dept and whether you could return a lightbulb if it was the wrong fit. Didn't know about returns policy. Then another male staff member came and said they had been sent to help me because I was abusive, 3 times he told me I was grumpy and abusive, you don't talk to a customer like that, and although helpful his attitude left alot to be desired and treated me like I was an inconvenience. .....I wasn't frustrated, grumpy or 'abusive' when I woke up this morning! Your staff did that to me with such poor customer service. I just wanted a lightbulb not a character assassination!

I really like wandering around here. They have so much to catch your attention, especially in their garden. Plus when you have finished shopping you can have morning tea or lunch in their friendly cafe.

The only staff member that knew anything was Kane he was awesome. The rest were talking to other staff, on their phones and when I asked for help I was flaged off or told that they didn't stock it. We were sent from one end of the store about 4 times. Not good for a lady in her late 60's. The wonderful Kane found all the things I was looking for. The stars are for him

Excellent service from Harriet at the weekend. She went the extra mile and gave a demonstration of the product, she was knowledgeable and informative, cheerful and helpful. Thanks, love our local store and find all the team are always so helpful and friendly.

Went to but item listed on website as available got there told not in stock. Brought alternative. Discover was there stock told not at 7.68 that's another product. Rechecked website no it was that price Shelve price wrong, checkout price wrong. Bloody awful service why stock a product. Blood

Wow, I’m all for giving young people job experiences and allowing them to earn money… when you turn up for work … please act like you at least want to be there… my few little items were important to me and your handling of my insignificant purchase was rude … on mentioning it to another staff member… her response was oh well … really my 1st bad experience at mitre 10 Rangiora…

Has a lovely Cafe. The shop itself always has anything and everything you could want at a Mega Mitre10. Very helpful staff. Special mention to Liz.

Excellent store... Well laid out with a great range of pretty much everything... DIY and pro tools... I recommend
