Tried to get Mitre 10 to honour their price promise on a cat door but they though of every negative excuse to not beat a cheaper price. The cat doors were exactly the same and I showed them a picture of the cheaper cat door but they still would not honour their price promise. After spending thousands of dollars in the Oamaru shop this is how I was treated.
Helpless staffI don't know they will shut the car park gate after close so I stayed at car park for 5 minutes after close. When I saw a guy was shutting the gate I drive my car to gateI don't believe he didn't see me. But he straight left. The most unbelievable thing was there is a lady staff in mitre10 sat in her car and stared at us. When we want to ask her helpshe immediately step on the gas and go away. I can't believe someone is so helpless in your store. We was locked at the car park. We spotted another employee getting into her car on the other side of the parking lot so I ran and called out to her and she told us the manager was still there and everyone else had left. When the manager opened the door later he said we were lucky she was still there. I can't understand the behavior of two employees who saw me driving and locked the door and sped away when they saw we were locked out. What if we didn't run into the manager? It was very disappointing.
I needed to get some screws and other items for a project I'm working on. The person assisting me went out of his way to make sure I got the best products at the best price. I'm mega impressed!
