We biked to mission estate and it was glorious! Beautiful trees and surroundings with all the vines and the famous mission estate house! We got the platter and it was delicious! Such a variety of food and so well put together! We then did the $15 wine tasting, which was a great experience the host was lovely. We also got a complimentary cup with the tasting. I have also been to Elton John at the winery which was another great experience. Would highly recommend people check it out!
Great spot for a wedding! But we came for wine and some nibbles. Make sure you get your hands on their fries and cheeseboard. Wine was amazing and we had great time. Place is stunning with so much character
We had an outdoor seat on a very cold winter day - the heaters were on but it was still freezing. In winter there are no beautiful vines like the summer posts suggest! However, still a nice ambience. Staff are clearly well trained by their mannerisms and attention to detail. However they are a bit stiff and could loosen up a little : Food was lovely and the portion sizes were huge thank god. We walked around the grounds but we didn’t end up doing a tasting session. You can walk around the cellar freely which is nice.
This was not a great experience. Certainly not a fine dinning experience although the cost was of a fine dinning experience. I have certainly had better at napier. For eg: craggy range or central fire station. I had the horseradish entree with steak and greens and chips. The chips were useless. Typical PAK’nSAVE chips. Overall taste and value was 2/5. The dessert was worth it though 4/5. Overall bill with 2 drinks was 132$. There are better places to visit.
The historical building is attractive with a massive backyard. Food in the restaurant are nice. Kids friendly place to dine out.
WOW just WOW. Easy to find and was just going to pop in for lunch holiday trip but stayed for several hours. The restaurant food was fantastic sadly no pictures but the share platter was massive and we could not finish it and we asked for a wine paring which was superb. Then afterwards, on the spur of the moment, we did the wine tasting. Recommend as there was a bit of history about the Winery, info on where the grapes were grown, what to expect flavor and no snobbery. No pressure to buy anything afterwards but we did. Allow a few hours and try not to be the designated driver like me.
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Mission Estate, great wines & cheese platter, followed by a walk around grounds and Cellar. Staff friendly and helpful.
