Our mission is to combat food waste and provide Taupo locals with affordable and delicious produce, delivered straight to your door for a fraction of the cost!



"We sell home delivery produce boxes, with a difference. It is estimated that up to 40% of a crop of fruit/veg doesn't make it to market as it is the wrong size, shape, or colour.We are on a mission to help end the cycle of food waste by getting our hands on this produce and delivering it to peoples front doors! Our boxes provide kiwis with a variety of produce that they might not otherwise be able to purchase, and pay farmers a fair price for their hard earned work.Every Misfit box we sell benefits farmers, helps prevent food waste, and ultimately helps save our environment."

Not happy ,We got 1orange ,1corn cob,1 very small cucumber wrapped in plastic,I thought it came straight from the farm,plus other fruit and veges that were definitely not worth $40 will not buy again or recommend
Awesome box as usual. Totally enjoy receiving a variety of vegetables enticing me to find different recipes. A favourite at the moment is Spinach Quiche.
We were amazed at what came in our mini box, things I had never heard of before. So I got "inventing" my dinner, should have made more! If you get the chance and love your fruits and vegetables get signed up, you won't be sorry! I can't wait for other places to be in the delivery area, wasted food will be a thing of the past!
I love the philosophy of rescuing food from becoming waste; Misfit Garden NZ takes it to the max! And having the option to swap out some produce in each box is the cherry on the cake <3
Fantastic initiative - the produce is always high quality and super fresh, and it's great fun to get a really interesting selection of things to enjoy each week. Jen and Sophia are lovely, the service is friendly and responsive with plenty of humour. Can 100% recommend.

I love getting my misfit box each week. It’s full of excellent seasonal produce, it’s great value for money and its supporting a local business and the producers. I especially love getting harder to find ingredients like Jerusalem artichokes, it makes for exciting cooking for the week
Food waste is a massive problem that Misfits are tackling with amazing convenience and customer service. The subscription service makes an already easy process veggies delivered to your door! even more simple! The veggies are always fresh, even if they are a little different. The dedication to spray free/organic sellers is also just amazing considering how hard it is to find spray free produce in a small town like Taupō. Not to mention the heart warming thrill of supporting a small local business rather than buying veggies from the duopoly of grocery stores in NZ. I find it hard to go to a bunch of different shops with my busy life - but Misfits fits in to my life so well, with the door delivery! I love planning my meals around seasonal local produce and my daughter gobbles up the fruit box with amazing speed. I can’t recommend this company highly enough!
An adorable little business that is fighting the good fight. There is every reason to buy from them; save money, save food, save water and help farmers. And they are a brilliant little team that work so hard to improve themselves every day. They even allow me to ask for extra available off cuts to feed my rabbit!
