Mirrorcity Letterpress are 'olds cool' printers, we use lead type, antique printing presses and 'the knowledge' to print and publish work in the traditional way.
Around 1450 CE in Mainz, Germany, Johann Gutenberg brought together paper, ink, a modified wine press and his own invention, movable lead type and changed the world. Almost everything on our planet today comes back to this moment. In years to come Steve Jobs and his like minded colleagues will be seen in the same light. 75 years after Gutenberg had his moment there were 20 million books in Europe. Can you imagine our world without the printed word? Mirrorcity Letterpress uses Gutenberg's tools, ideas and inventions to create work in exactly the way he did, pressing paper against inked lead type. We are letterpress printers.
