When open the views and map and compass is awesome to look and reference to that you can view from the top of hill. It's awesome!nCaution as it's a popular hookup sight
Minden Stairs is definitely not for the faint of heart It sits 288m above sea level and has over 350 steps nnLocated near Te Puna, the 1.5km loop walk follows a bush track that travels alongside a stream through regenerating forest, dominated by rewarewa and manuka trees and apparently opens up to a picnic area. I don't know, because I was dead before then and had to turn aroundnnThere were some incredible views along the way and I can only imagine how spectacular the views would have been from the top nnIf you travel further along on the same road, you'll find Minden Lookout that provides amazing views over The Bay of Plenty and Mount Maunganui without all the stairs
Great view of the area.
There are 3 different parking areas. There are tables and seating with a great views. Then can walk up the platform to get a better view out to Mt Maunganui
