Mike Slade Tattooist

Came here on Saturday the 21st of May after hearing great things. The reason I am rating my experience 3 stars is because I neither had an amazing or a completely terrible experience. I am happy with my tattoos but unfortunately don't think I will go back. I stated, in a lot of detail, what I wanted in my form submission. I also sent an email on Thursday lunch time so a couple of days before my appointment just clarifying again what I wanted. I included photos and thoroughly detailed, again, the colours, font and placing I wanted. I was told this would be passed on to my tattooist. When I went there on Sat, I was surprised to find that my tattooist didn't really know what I wanted and asked me twice. When I made mention of the 4th tattoo I wanted, Mike was very surprised as this wasn't noted and advised it may have been missed in the notes. What, twice?? So I was super gutted about that and it kind of spoiled the experience for me. He wasn't able to include it because there wasn't enough time. I was quite surprised that 3 tiny tattoos took two hours. I was booked in at 11 and he finished at 1pm because another client came in which he seemed really surprised by so I think the time management and failure to read notes / emails properly is a bit poor. Loved the studio and I'm happy with my tattoos but of course I'm gutted I couldn't get everything I had asked for, everything I thought I booked for. The tattoos are good, I'm happy with how they look, but as a client it's a bit concerning to hear your tattooist say "I've been tattooing 20 years but still find it hard and these ones are difficult to do". Made me super nervous!! I appreciated the discount for the muck around but don't think I'll be back.

Needed a cover up and ended up with a work of art - thanks Mike - good booking system with txt confirmation reminders and easy atmosphere to hang out in.

Extremely happy with this place! The vibe is so good, very professional and responsive to all the ideas, also give the little touch with some suggestions. Can't be more happy with Mason's job. He's very delicate and his line is so presice. I recommend him without a doubt.

Amazing artists, and a great atmosphere in the studio.. 100% recommended from the consult to the finished piece.. Everyone is friendly and makes the experience even better.. Can't thank Mike slade enough for all my amazing work and will be back again..
