Plimmerton Kindergarten's Mid Winter Dip is loads of fun for all. See you there!
This great community event is held at Karehana Bay at the north end of Plimmerton. The fundraiser for Plimmerton Kindergarten has become something of a winter institution. Each year hundreds of hardy souls take the plunge, with several hundred more onlookers enjoying the yummy food and drinks on offer.
Dippers are encouraged to dress up - if you are crazy enough to run into the sea in the middle of winter, then you are certainly crazy enough to dress up in the middle of the day! There are spot prizes and activities for the kids, including a beach dig and a sand castle competition.
A raffle made up of prizes donated by our generous supporters is sold in the weeks leading up to the Dip and on the day.
It's the perfect time to show how tough you are and do something out of the ordinary, most of our kindy children take part, and nobody wants to be shown up by a three-year-old.
