I enjoy Mexican food so came here to give it a go. I ordered the birria burger and it was very plain it was just a burger and a small consommé feel could have had a side of corn chips to make it filling as burger was not filing. Best thing on the menu was the guacamole great seasoning. You need to order a side dish to have with the main. Also enjoyed the nachos. Would I come back, No. I did enjoy the vibe of the place.
Went for a quick dinner before the home show.nnThe menu was different than I expected. The chorizo dish I ordered was over seasoned and a little burnt.nnThe tacos we ordered were okay. The chicken and the beef were the stand outs.nnThe pork and the fish were not. Too many textures and too much sauce on the pork and not enough salt on the fish.nnThe vibe was good and the space had heaps of room. Facilities are good.
Perfectly seasoned food and balanced flavours that pack a punch! We had the beef burrito, beef nachos and children's pork tacos. All were superb!
Got the $26 lunch special which was pretty average. 1 taco a handful of tortilla chips, some Salsa, and a drink. Th fried chicken was nice and juicy. Definitely not authentic Mexican and Definitely curbed to NZ taste. The staff were pleasant and food came quickly.
Unfortunately the food was not impressive, the guacamole tasted like plain avocado with a bit of coriander in it, the corn cobs shared plate was obviously frozen corn which was not at all pleasant and with fresh sweetcorn available in abundance at the moment why would a chef not take advantage of it. The pork quesadilla was ok. The service was friendly but a bit slow, we waited for at least 15 minutes before being approached for our drinks order and then another 15 before they arrived. The restaurant inside is comfortable and has lots of interesting Mexican themed memorabilia. Based on our experience with the quality of the food we had I wouldn’t go back.
