Methven Golf Club

A good find. Interesting layout, don't just reach for the driver on the tee, reens have grain beware and there's even a picturesque water hazard. Al up, a good cause. Clubs available and a there was a deal on offer if you played 18 and hired clubs. Helpful and friendly staff too.

Pretty nice course. Layout is well thought out, with rolling fairways to keep you on your toes. Greens are variable in shape and undulations rather than consistent circles. $30 affiliated for nine holes is too steep however for the condition of the course.

Fantastic course in top condition, must play if in the area.Very welcoming members, no trouble for us to use the carpark overnight for our campervans

Have played Methven really enjoy the course

One of our favourite NZ golf courses. We love playing here & go out of our way to do so. It's always in great condition with good greens, which beggars belief considering the small locale & membership. An absolute credit to the greenkeeper & I suspect, his band of voluntary helpers. Not a difficult course but certainly punishing if you can't hit a straight ball. If you're having a bad round, the abundant trees & lovely scenery ease the pain. One recommendation only .....Go & play it!

Methven Golf Club rated 3-1/2 stars: As one might expect in this popular wintertime ski location, there are many fine mountain views from the golf course, when that is, you are not up against, or under, the many trees that line the fairways. This is a very pleasant parkland course, quite flat except for one or two dips and slopes on a few holes.

Spent the weekend in Methven and played Terrace Downs & Methven golf courses. Both are in excellent condition. Thoroughly recommend and we also had a lovely meal at Ski Time

Great course that is well maintained and a good test. Well recommended.

Best country course I've played. Members always make you feel welcome. Park motorhome in the car park overnight.
