Nice place to stay for freedom camping,nice shower and toilet,and even sink outside for doing your dishes, quiet lovely spot.
Great Taihape A and P show. Shearing, gumboots throwing, and wood chopping plus the crafts entries.
Always mowed neat and tidy. The toilets are a bit rough but apparently getting new at some stage. I think the gates for vehicles has been locked to protect the grounds over winter. There is still pedestrian access. Rugby games in the winter. Room to walk dogs.
Nice spot to take a break and enjoy some fresh air during a long trip. Also great safe place for kids to run around. Worth a walk to see the amazing redwoods planted at the back of the playing field.
Played here 45 years ago as a kid :nStill great!
