I had been to Mega zone yesterday as i wanted to play games.nFirst when we went there we had some sort of food first we order fries, nachos and Mocha. To be honest we didnt had any expectation but it turned out good with good quantity as well. Good experience with food.nAfter that we played games and it was good experience only that we had a Mega zone card but it was not smooth while placing it to start the games.nWe gathered too many points and with those points we got good goodies.
I took a group of my mates Axe throwing on Monday evening it was amazing! We all had a blast and the staff were so lovely and accommodating.nnThank you so much to the staff that looked after us!
The laser tag has been a family favourite for years, we've enjoyed many visits and kids birthday functions on site. The only reason I've dragged the rating back is due to the customer service, a little bit of organisation and enthusiasm would go a long way.
Megazone in Dunedin is underwhelming overall, with laser tag being the only attraction truly worth coming for. The rest of the place falls short in many areas. The space is quite small, and activities like axe throwing feel repetitive and frustrating—you can throw a million times and still not hit the timber. The prehistoric VR experience is nothing special, and the arcade machines are standard, similar to what you'd find in most places. The mini-golf is especially disappointing—it's super small and not at all challenging.nnWhat really brings the experience down is the staff. They come off as unfriendly, disengaged, and completely lacking energy or enthusiasm, which sets a dull tone for the whole place. Overall, Megazone feels like a very average entertainment center that could be so much better with improvements, especially when it comes to the atmosphere and customer service. I’d only recommend it if you're specifically after laser tag, but otherwise, there are better options for fun in Dunedin.
Thanks for the stellar customer service from the lady who was working today. We hope you enjoyed your slice of birthday cake.nnHighly recommend visiting Megazone for any special occasions.
