This shaved ice spot serves up a delicious treat. After our usual mara dinner nearby, my partner and I stopped by to give it a try.nnWe ordered the brown sugar shaved ice, which was perfectly sweet, delicious, and generously portioned.nThe vanilla ice cream on top was a fantastic touch.nThe texture of the shaved ice was smooth and satisfying, though we didn’t like the yellow pudding, which felt a bit unnecessary.nnOverall, we enjoyed our dessert here and would recommend it!
The food was good, but the waiter looked glum. He was washing dishes very loudly, constantly slamming things, and even cursing to himself while serving customers at the counter. Very rude!
Limited parking on main road.nCute little shop with lots of seating 20+nVery light and cute decor. Good sized menu with an assortment of desserts and sweets.nTried the mango shaved ice pudding. OMG!!! Absolutely delicious!! Lots of flavour and easily shared amongst the 3 of us.nAlso tried the bean cakes. Tasty.nQuick and friendly service.
Came in on a Friday night, ordered brown sugar shaved ice and received the item. As soon as we received the shaved ice my group thought it was shaved odd, like the letter “n”, while it usually is shaped like an upside down letter “v”, a lot more natural looking.nnWe were given paper spoons which is fine, but the problem was that we couldn’t eat it comfortably with the spoons we were given because the ice was so packed down. I looked over the counter to see one of the staff packing the shaved ice in with a knife to make it shaped as it was, instead of letting it form shape naturally and so it remains soft.nnI first asked for a metal spoon at which point I had gotten a bit of an attitude for not wanting to eat with a paper spoon, which was fine.nnWe still couldn’t eat it and found it really hard to eat it as it felt like we were just chewing on ice. Asked for them to remake it without packing it.nnIdk if it was the manager but the person I talked to same as the spoon guy gave me attitude for wanting it remade and said something along the lines of “it’s shaved ice what do you expect. I talked back mentioning I’ve been to several other branches and it’s never been this bad at which he finally decided to change it for us.nnLater on, another staff came to talk to us about the situation and why they pack the ice, but my mood was already sour from the attitude the first staff member gave me at two separate times.nnService: BADnAttitude: BADnFood: same as other branchesnAtmosphere and noise: loud but expected on a Friday nightnnWould I come again?nHell to the no.nnVideo: first shaved icenPhoto: second replacement snowflake ice which is not well presented either
Came on a busy Wednesday night but found a seat and placed our order quickly. The staff were friendly and smiled, and clarified our order before ringing it up. Food was ready quicker than expected and was fresh and delicious and hit the spot. A little loud with all the people talking and no background music.nFree wifi included and note there is a surcharge for payWave/credit cards.
