Absolutely delicious food and excellent, friendly service! Came here last night as I was here for work. Highly recommend it for those visiting Whangarei the pho with cooked beef and tripe was outstanding with a very flavorsome broth. The fried noodles were packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. The donuts were like little heavenly cushions.
Had the pan-fried spicy lamb with rice, and it was superb. Portion was filling and the accompanying clear soup was flavourful. Place was rather clean and had a laid back vibe to it. Plenty of parking all around the vicinity. A must visit if you are in Whangarei and looking for a good meal.
We have been a few times to this restaurant. Food is delicious and fresh. Sometimes food can take a while to arrive at your table, but it is worth the wait.
Good food probably one of the best vietnamese restaurant in whangarei. Staffs are very friendly as well.Food: 4/5
We ordered take away, we got the summer rolls & lamb kebabs for starters and then I got a salad & my partner got a pho. Wow! Amazing! The summer rolls were massive I only ate those and saved my salad for lunch the next day. And my partner ate only one lamb kebab you get 2 and half his soup and we were super full! Such great quality and I would consider the started as a main as they were big! The taste & flavours were so good! Will be back for sure!
We visited Mean's on a cold Sunday evening. The restaurant is small but it wasn't warm and a lot of the menu dishes are cold salad-like items. However, the waitress was very helpful and the food was delicious. These were lots of locals eating in and collecting takeaways so its obviously a popular spot. Prices were manageable and portions were very generous. Would definitely go back in the Summer
We stopped by on a recommendation from family. Loved it. We both had salad's and it was up there with the best I've had. And I'm not really the type who would order one. It tasted amazing, the balance between sweet, sour and savory was on point. When we left, we where happy and full. I also tried a vietnamese coffee, yum! If you're into sweet coffee with a hit, this is for you. We will definitely be back.
Food was okay and a bit pricey. The tables were really dirty and greasy.
I arrived late on the weekend with my family. Mean's were pretty much at closing time, but they stayed open just for us and served up the most delicious meal. The waitress was attentive and kind and we were all very happy with our food.Food: 5/5
We found this restaurant after a tired trip. The service was good. We ordered smoked salmon summer roll and chilli mussel for starter, they were highly recommended. After having a mouthful of pho soup, I felt warmer. although the fried rice was a little salty, the tasty was good.
