Lovely short walks lots of options and a great cafe. Public toilets and information/resting area is handy from the main car park. Beautiful water falls too.
Awesome spot.. pools by the dam and bridge to take a plunge. Huge park setting, great for picnics. Lovely drive around the whole complex and a great Cafe with friendly staff who made a very nice coffee ..Well worth a visit.
My goto place when taking mum out with her motor home. Beautiful spot to visit and park up for the night overlooking the lake. There's lots of walking tracks and wildlife watching. The facilities, toilets, BBQs, rubbish etc. are the most well maintained of any reserve I have stayed thoughout NZ.
Great place to relax 10 minutes from town.
Beautiful camping spot next to the river. Stayed here in a caravan as a family of 5 and a couple of kayaks, fishing rods and bikes, and had an absolute awesome time. Fully recommend.
Very scenic, wasn't too busy when we went but as we left the carpark had filled up, be worth coming in at night to check out the glow worms.
How cool is this place?? Heaps of walking tracks, plenty to do and well maintained grounds. Awesome place to stop. Bathrooms nice and clean.
Beautiful water falls, nice walking paths, cafe and information centre with bathroom. We had a lovely walking day.
This was the first time myself, husband and 2 year old son went for a walk at McLaren Falls. We all loved it! My son had a great time sitting in the backpack and looking at the glow worms. It looks like a great camping spot too and it's definitely something we're going to do soon.
