This is a Zero star review as they deserve none.nnI ordered a burger without onions due to my allergy. Although it initially appeared onion-free, my tongue reacted upon taking a bite, forcing me to use my EpiPen to prevent my airways from swelling. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that onions had been placed on the burger and then removed, leaving small bits and dents in the cheese.nnWhen I requested a refund, I was initially short-changed and had to ask for the rest of my money. While I eventually received a full refund, the staff seemed unconcerned about the serious risk they had posed by attempting to hide their mistake. This level of dishonesty and disregard for customer safety is unacceptable.nnAdditionally, the staff showed no empathy for the fact that I had to use my EpiPen, which has a significant cost. This incident ruined my two-day trip, causing me to miss out on planned and prepaid activities, and left me feeling unwell. No compensation or even a voucher was offered.nnThis experience highlighted a complete lack of customer service skills and investment in staff training regarding food safety and customer care. I will never eat here again and may avoid McDonald's altogether in the future.
I'm sure the food must taste AMAZING but I never actually got the opportunity... Why?... Because the drive through was packed and flowing out into the car park next to Park n Save. I then had a brilliant idea to park and get our meal inside..., But, again we were foiled... Why?... Because as soon as we walked in, the sea of anxious customers watching the counter and waiting for their orders was overwhelming. I knew this would surely lengthen our trip back to Auckland by a good half hour. No, I thought, we'll go to another McD's...nnThese people need a better system and a bigger McDonalds to cope with the huge amount of clientele.
Dined in. Waited 15mins for 2 happy meals, place was not overly busy just seemed drive thru tok priority and then didn't even get the minecraft toys advertised. Fries were cold and nuggets had black bits on them dirty deep frier oil? Was disappointing.
1 stopped by the Thames McDonald's and was pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming atmosphere! The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and efficient. But what really stood out was the cozy vibe - it's clear that this McDonald's is a hub for the local community, and it's a great spot to grab a bite and catch up with friends or family.
My husband and I went to McDonald’s Thames after our Aglow Meeting at Church of Christ on 28/6/2024, Matariki!nnStaff were friendly and service was very efficient.nnWe highly recommend you to have a meal there if you happen to visit Thames as there’s no McDonald’s in Coromandel and Whitianga.
