The first thing that struck me about this McDonald's location was its vibrant atmosphere. Situated in a busy part of the city, it buzzed with activity, creating a lively ambiance. Despite the constant influx of customers, the air-conditioned interior provided a welcome respite from the urban hustle.nnCleanliness, often a concern in high-traffic establishments, pleasantly surprised me here. Tables were promptly cleared, and the overall tidiness of the restaurant made for a comfortable dining environment. It's evident that the staff takes pride in maintaining a clean and inviting space for patrons.nnSpeaking of the staff, their pleasant demeanor was another highlight of my visit. Despite the fast-paced nature of the fast-food industry, the employees were friendly and efficient, contributing positively to the overall experience.nnThe menu, featuring McDonald's classic offerings, caters to those seeking familiar and reliable options. This, combined with the central location of the restaurant, makes it a convenient choice for both locals and visitors exploring Wellington.nnAs someone who doesn't frequent fast-food establishments often, my experience at McDonald's on Manners Street was undeniably positive. The bustling yet air-conditioned setting, surprising cleanliness, friendly staff, classic menu offerings, and central location collectively made for a satisfying visit. In essence, it delivered exactly what one would expect from a McDonald's – nothing more, nothing less.nnIf you find yourself in need of a quick and dependable meal in the heart of Wellington, this McDonald's is a solid choice.
Yesterday was a pretty scary time for me. I had been walking around Wellington city without having eaten first my fault, priorities got mishandled by me and walked in after feeling a little faint in a nearby store.nnI sat down at a table in the corner and gradually I felt worse. My vision became dark and my limbs began to tingle. I tried not to panic, but I had no-one around who knew me nor my medical conditions.nnI guessed it was because I hadn't eaten yet, so maybe asking for a kind soul to help me in purchasing a drink, so I asked someone close and they offered to pay, even with me trying to hand over my card.nnAfter a while I hadn't got better and I asked a staff member who came by to call an ambulance for me. I have a heart condition and didn't want to risk any delay in case it was related. The manager came over after calling an ambulance and asked me questions while still on the phone with the paramedics.nnHe also brought over some fries when he heard I hadn't eaten, which he refused payment for.nnIn thr end the ambulance never came, sthr lady on the phone told me to call back in case things didn't improve, but guessed it was exhaustion in some regard. But this review is not of their services.nnI stayed at my table until I felt well enough to order an actual meal, which no-one could stop me paying for. A good deal at $15 got me two cheeseburgers, chips, a drink as well as a side of chicken bites. All were piping hot when they swiftly came out and they kept an eye on me, even when they heard my wife was coming to pick me up.nnTo the manager who worked here on the 30th January 2026, as well as your team. Thank you so much, you guys helped your store become a safe harbour when my world literally turned dark.nnI will never forget this, and I hope this review reaches people who are worried about the store. The floors may be dirty, the food may be horrendously overpriced at times, but the team care about you, even if you think they don't
I ordered a decaf latte, but they served a flat white. There was no form milk.nI paid the same money for coffee as cafe.nYou should make correct coffee even if you are fast food restaurant.
Genuinely the grossest place I’ve ever been. Stopped in before the ferry to get a feed and use the bathroom. The entire place smelt like a dirty public bathroom, the tables or floor hadn’t been cleaned in obviously hours, the toilets weren’t even usable. There was liquid all over the floor, toilet paper all over the walls, over-filled and open sanitary bins, a shoe box on the floor? All around DISGUSTING.
We had a pleasant meal, late at night. I only gave 4 stars for the food as my fish fillet pattie was half off the bread bun. This seems to be a common fault at most Macca's. I think they throw the pattie from a distance and certainly don't care if it's centered on the bun or not!
