We visit this McDonald's a lot as it is close to home and over the past few months we have been experiencing food which is not to a very good standard. We are regularly getting fries which are old and stale, burgers which have old patties and are poorly put together and frozen cokes which only fill half the cup or have been premade as they are half melted. We used to love the soft serve from this restaurant however of late they have started to resemble kiddie cones.
Asked for extra pickles in two of our burgers and paid for extra bacon in another, there was instead no pickles and no bacon. Hardly any people there but had to wait 20 mins for food that was cold when we got it so was very confusing. When handing over the coffees they were held just behind the window, no real service place. Watery soup of a coffee. Dirty toilets.
Being from the US, this was our first exposure to NZ Maccas and we were honestly blown away by the food options and quality of food we got. We don’t have the NY benedict bagel & brekkie burger and both were huge and extremely filling. The cafe is legit, the flat white and mocha drinks we got were very good. Service is about average, seating is just right for the location and the restrooms are clean. Parking up front north may be limited but it seems like there are more at the back south.
Extremely busy mcdonald's being so close to the airport, so takes a while to get your order. Staff were pleasant enough and the burgers ordered were fine. Coffee was really well made. The restaurant it's self was clean, overflowing rubbish bins. I'm not sure if they need more staff but the wait time was really long inside the restaurant, but it is what it is.
Really busy at times because of the location.nA bit tired, could do with a refresh, lick of paint.nI’ve always thought this one is more run in grab the takeaway or do the drive through.nStaff do their best, but inevitably orders get mixed up, drinks forgotten when it’s full bore at the counter.nYou can eat in, there is space but mostly people grab and go.
