Zesty man served us poorly. Our food took forever to get to us. Drinks were room temp, food cold and missing burgers. Come here if you want to waste your money on stuff that wont get to you.
We visit this McDonald's a lot as it is close to home and over the past few months we have been experiencing food which is not to a very good standard. We are regularly getting fries which are old and stale, burgers which have old patties and are poorly put together and frozen cokes which only fill half the cup or have been premade as they are half melted. We used to love the soft serve from this restaurant however of late they have started to resemble kiddie cones.
After travelling very far to Auckland on Sunday 19th October 2025 at anywhere from about 2-4AM, we were very tired and very, VERY thirsty. We saw this Macca's nearby was open 24 hours so went to get a much needed water and maybe some food. WELL! We saw a car reversing out of the drive thru by the speakers assuming they hadn't had any luck with getting service either. We went to the drive through windows to ask directly only to see a young, Asian girl worker LITERALLY run away when she saw us and duck behind the counters? We weren't being intimidating or looking for anything other than buying water and food. I'm not sure if something/someone else had previously spooked her that morning and made her concerned for her safety or if she was avoiding social/work interactions? Assuming the latter, There are PLENTY of braver, more deserving and maybe more experienced/older Kiwis in Auckland who would actually take a night service job seriously and without hiding from the customers. Otherwise, I hope she was okay, and wasn't there all on her own? We had to go ALLLL the way to the International airport tired and thirsty as we hoped and found this was the only place in the area, that we could see, open with water and food.
If you are dropping your loved ones off at the airport and are looking for a quick snack as a reward on your way to or from the airport please just go into the airport itself and use that Mcdonalds. Staff were rude. Food came out stale and uneatable. Their hot chocolate tasted like warmed up milk and their chicken nuggets were as hard as cardboard.nDO NOT RECOMMEND.
Extremely busy mcdonald's being so close to the airport, so takes a while to get your order. Staff were pleasant enough and the burgers ordered were fine. Coffee was really well made. The restaurant it's self was clean, overflowing rubbish bins. I'm not sure if they need more staff but the wait time was really long inside the restaurant, but it is what it is.
