I consider myself very lucky because I grew up in the shadow of Whangatautia but have lived overseas for the last 24 years. I still have family who live in Ahipara who know the land owners so I've been up a few time. I've travelled the world but nothing beats the view.

Attention: It's a private property! Ask the owner before you enter! I had bad luck and could not reach him during my stay.
