I've been going to Matipo Garage since I moved to Christchurch eight years ago. In that time I've had nothing but excellent, honest service from Ben and the team. I've had everything from basic services to brake rebuilds, gearbox issues and wheel alignments in mine and my kids cars. I trust Ben to keep me and my family safe on the road and tell me what needs doing to make this happen. Do not go here if you have an old surf/prado. Went for a WOF and was failed on play in the steering rack. He told me that it was common and that he fails ~80%! of surfs and prados that come in on this one thing. I took it elsewhere and they said it was totally fine as suspected. They must be absolutely pedantic on the rules or are just out to get work. Proceeded to say how cheap he could get steering racks compared to other places. Was going to cost me $1300 to get it repaired. Also has very high pricing for my wof/service i recieved. Disappointed and will not be returning
