Simply amazing fish and chips I had the snapper to sit down or take away in a very pleasant, clean, quaintly decorated restaurant. We found it when driving through, but would 100% eat here regularly if we were local!
Delicious, fresh fish and chips. Snapper was tender and flaky. Really enjoyed the kumara chips! Nice community vibe, great owners!

Ordered mussel fritters and got super disappointed! No fresh mussels in sight, marinated mussels were used, also overcooked on the outside and uncooked batter/ dough inside. Not nice! The flavour of the uncooked batter was ok. Will definitely Not come back for a mussel fritter.Food: 1/5
Really nice place to stop for fish and chips. Excellent value, friendly service and spotless. We had the hoki meal. Fish, chips, salad, tartare and salad dressing....all for $10! A good cup of tea too. Really recommend this place
I had flounder. Perfectly cooked and appreciated the salad. So full of flounder I didn't manage to eat too many chips. Great people and food here. You won't be disappointed!

Fish n chips here was really good. Crispy batter and chips. Pricing is a bit above average, but not too bad for fresh, local fish. They sell aioli for $1 which made me very happy. Probably the best fish n chips in Dargaville now that Spudnicks is gone.
We are from the Waikao, we had a lovely meal, with friendly helpful staff. Reasonably priced and great food. We will be stopping in there on our next north bound trip.
Our meals were delicious! I had raw fish, hubby had the gurnard burger and the boy had hoki chips and salad. Fantastic! Clean, good value, excellent service!
