We Are a co-educational year 7 & 8 Intermediate School.

Story

At Matamata Intermediate we welcome families and students into a unique environment with opportunities to develop the talents, confidence and independence of emerging adolescents in years 7 and 8. We pride ourselves on having open and effective communication with parents, whanau and the wider community. Our school culture is based on the core virtues of courtesy, common-sense and consideration – known as the 3Cs. This underpins all we do in our stimulating learning environment. We have a strong focus on eLearning and all children are welcome to bring their own digital device. At MI we encourage a growth mind set to support the development of perseverance and resilience . Our students are offered a wide range of academic, cultural and sporting activities by teachers who are focused on high standards of best practice in teaching and learning. The total well-being of each of our students, celebrating success, progress and commitment is very important to us.
