Impressum

Matamata Christian School is a State integrated school that caters for children from year one to eight. The school began life in 1987 and held it's first class on 2nd February 1988.

The school property is owned by the Matamata Christian School Association Inc; the constitution of which was registered under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 on the 5th September 1990 (Registered Number 459347).

The responsibilities of the Association, which includes the provision of land, buildings and other resources and the delivery of the school's Special Christian Character, are carried out by a Board of Trustees (Proprietor Board) elected from amongst the members of the Association.

The school signed an integration agreement with the Crown on 1st May 1998.

Under the integration agreement, the Governance of the school is the responsibility of a Board of Trustees (BOT) which is elected tri annually from amongst the wider school community.

The day to day operations of the school are managed by the Principal who is appointed by the BOT.
